FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions.
[About the program]
Q1. What is the SCX Professional Program?
A. This is a Professional Program equivalent to an MBA/DBA, with quality assurance and curriculum provision handled by UITM (University of Information Technology and Management, Rzeszów) in Poland, and operated in Japan by Shibuya Web3 University Co., Ltd. UITM is a university that adheres to the Bologna Process, and this program is built upon its quality assurance foundation. Upon completion, participants will receive an official Executive Award (certification of completion) from the President of UITM.
Q2. Why is the expression "equivalent to an MBA/DBA" used?
A. UITM offers education in two forms: an Academic Program (academic research route) primarily focused on training researchers, and a Professional Program (professional education route) for practitioners and leaders. This program falls under the latter. "Equivalent to" is an internationally accurate expression indicating that the content is at a level equivalent to an MBA/DBA. In the EQF (European Qualification Framework), an MBA is positioned at Level 7 (Master's equivalent), and a DBA at Level 8 (Doctorate equivalent). (*The actual wording on the certificate can be seen on the Trust page.)
[About learning]
Q3. What level of English proficiency is required?
A. The classes will be conducted in Japanese, so a high level of English proficiency is not required to participate. The fact that it's in Japanese allows for deeper discussions.
However, assignments (MBA) and doctoral dissertations (DBA) must be completed in English. We provide support for this English writing, including the use of generative AI, so even those who are not confident in their English skills can participate.
Q4. Is it possible to balance this with work?
A. Yes, it is possible. Classes are generally held on Saturdays in a hybrid format, combining online (Zoom) and in-person (Shibuya), designed to allow students to learn without interfering with their weekday work.
Both the MBA and DBA programs utilize a rolling admissions system with monthly enrollment, allowing you to start at your own pace.
Q5. Who is this target audience for?
A. What we truly seek are people who don't give up on reality and take action to change it.
The essence of our selection criteria is not the length of your academic or professional resume. It's your determination to change something in your own business, and the practical experience that supports it—whether you are a consumer of knowledge, or whether you are actively creating change and trying to move reality. That is the most important criterion.
Furthermore, the eligibility requirements are as follows:
• MBA: A bachelor's degree from a four-year university or higher, plus at least three years of work experience (particularly experience in organizational transformation or management).
• DBA: Holders of a Master's degree (including MBA and Professional Master's). Or, a four-year university degree with more than 10 years of management experience (and at least 35 years of age).
(*Educational and work experience are minimum requirements. We will discuss your aspirations and achievements comprehensively during the individual consultation.)
[Regarding the Certificate of Completion]
Q6. Who issues the certificate of completion (Award)?
A. It will be issued in the name of the President of UITM in Poland. The certificate will bear the university seal and the President's signature.
This award, officially presented by the President of UITM, confirms that the content you have completed is equivalent to an MBA/DBA.
(※ For details on the wording of the certificate of completion, please see the Trust page.)
Q7. Where will the graduation ceremony be held?
A. The certificate of completion will be sent to you by mail.
Furthermore, you can optionally attend the graduation ceremony held at UITM in Rzeszów, Poland.
(*Please note that there will be additional costs for travel expenses, participation fees, etc., to attend the graduation ceremony.)
For any questions not covered here, and for those specifically related to your situation, we will provide the answers during your individual consultation. Let's work together to determine the suitability of our services to your background and goals through our conversation.
