Program
Bringing to Japan a structure for the evolution of consciousness, to a global standard.
From learning that accumulates knowledge, to learning that trains the consciousness which wields it.
Three reasons the SCX Professional Program accelerates your evolution.
From a society of credentials, to a society of learning — this philosophy is no mere ideal. By integrating advanced IT strategy, generative AI and UITM's quality assurance at a high level, the programme implements concrete functions for updating your consciousness and rewriting reality.
Reason 1. A transformation curriculum integrating IT strategy × practical implementation × sustainability
The framework of established business education comes fitted, as standard, with UITM's strengths: IT management, data science and DX strategy. Drawing further on the knowledge of UITM — second in Poland in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking — SDGs and ESG education is integrated into the curriculum, developing the sustainable management capability essential to next-generation leaders, in which technology, ethics and the environment are in harmony.
Learning here does not aim at the consumption of knowledge: assignments take as their subject the business challenges your own company faces now. Learned theory is implemented in practice at once, then tested and refined — a structure in which theory and practice evolve in a spiral.
Reason 2. Learning designed at a higher order, in symbiosis with generative AI
We define generative AI not as a "replacement" but as a "co-pilot" that extends human intelligence. AI carries the pre-processing — analysing vast materials, structuring information — while we concentrate our thinking on the domains AI cannot reach: the creation of meaning, ethical judgement, and the creation of emotional value.
This is intellectual training of the highest order: acquiring the right use of knowledge in the age after AI.
Reason 3. The international legitimacy and quality assurance of UITM, Poland
UITM is a university aligned with the Bologna Process within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It is this UITM that provides quality assurance and the curriculum for the programme. While remaining in Japan, you can complete learning equivalent to an MBA/DBA.
A different depth of aim. The MBA and the DBA.
The SCX Professional Program offers two paths, matched to your career and to the deepening of your consciousness.
MBA Executive Award (1 year) — Transform management.
— MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Information Technology Management
Aim: to gain the perspective, and the power of implementation, to read the structures of the world and set yourself in motion by your own will.
Duration: twelve months of intensive, practice-centred learning.
The MBA integrates solid knowledge and implementation across IT strategy, global management and change management. With Information Technology Management at its core, it redefines management as a system of decision-making built on IT — a next-generation MBA designed from the realities of Japanese management.
[Sharpening academic writing through assignments] There is no final thesis, but assignments can be taken on in academic-paper form. Specialists in academic writing support you, training the power to write and the power to question. From the MBA stage, you develop the research thinking that leads on smoothly to the challenge of the DBA.
DBA Executive Award (2 years) — Transform society.
— Doctor of Business Administration
Aim: to draw the future from your own question, and reach the depth of research that changes the world.
Duration: twenty-four months of intensive, integrated research and practice.
Complex management challenges from practice are raised into academic research themes. Where a PhD centres on the construction of theory, the DBA systematises proposals to society through enquiry rooted in practice. Through the writing of the dissertation and the viva voce, you evolve into a Scholar-Practitioner — carrying firm knowledge and a firm ethical sense, and opening the frontier of your professional field.
An optimised learning system: achieving the evolution of consciousness, while you work.
We have designed an environment in which practitioner-leaders under the most intense demands can concentrate on thinking deeply and transforming themselves, without wasting time. Beyond the constraints of time and place, your evolution does not stop. That is the learning system of the SCX Professional Program.
1. Flexible entry points (rolling admission)
-
Both the MBA and the DBA admit students every month, by rolling admission. Each student is received into a system of close, individual guidance.
2. The structure of classes and the study load
-
Module design: for both the MBA and the DBA, each module's classes run intensively over one month (three Saturdays, chosen from the first to the fourth and set monthly by calendar).
-
Timetable: for both, one lesson of four hours × three lessons. Classes run from 13:00 to 17:15 (with a 15-minute break).
-
Format: classes are taught face to face, in a hybrid form combining online and in person (a meeting room in Shibuya is planned).
3. Study load (guideline)
-
MBA: around 100 hours of study per module (including classes, guidance, seminars and self-study).
-
DBA: around 160 hours of study per module (including classes, guidance, seminars and self-study).
To achieve learning of a global standard, students are expected to apply themselves to self-study with independence.
4. Language strategy and the standard of your work
-
Language of instruction: for both the MBA and the DBA, classes are taught in Japanese. This deepens the conceptual understanding at the core of thought, and raises the depth of discussion.
-
Assignments: all eight MBA modules and both DBA modules require the submission and assessment of assignments written in English.
-
Final dissertation: the DBA dissertation is written in English, and the final examination — the viva voce — is conducted in Japanese.
The design philosophy of UITM — the structure of modules integrating the management knowledge of the future.
The modules of the SCX Professional Program — for which UITM provides quality assurance and the curriculum, and which Shibuya Web3 University Co., Ltd. operates in Japan — are built on three design principles, specialising in the challenges the managers of the future will face.
1. IT-driven — technology is treated as the core of management strategy, integrating IT management, digital marketing and innovation across the whole of management.
2. Practice-oriented — not the memorisation of knowledge, but the ability to apply what is learned directly to the resolution of practical challenges.
3. Global ethics — pursuing the ethical leadership, and the new forms of governance, demanded by the global economy and the Web3 era.
MBA: leadership that implements transformation
IT Strategy and Management
Treat IT not as a mere tool but as the core of transformation, and design and implement future-oriented IT strategy from the perspective of top management.
Strategic Leadership
Establish leadership that unites ethics and effectiveness in the age of generative AI, and drive the transformation of the whole organisational ecosystem.
Strategic Human Resource Management
Treat people not as cost but as the greatest creative resource, and realise organisational design and change.
Strategic Change Management
Integrate technological innovation with organisational culture, and realise sustained change on the ground.
Strategic Financial Management
Evaluate the risks and returns of technology investment with rigour, and optimise and decide capital strategy for future growth.
Technopreneurship and Innovation

Digital and Social Media Marketing
Command digital channels and social media to build channel strategy and brand experience, grounded in deep insight into customer behaviour.
Globalisation and Corporate Governance
Examine the structure of the global economy, and the new forms of governance of the Web3 era.
DBA: management research that creates the future from a question
Business Development Management
Break through the frameworks of existing industries and, with academic depth, define and create sustainable, innovative new business opportunities.
Strategic Management
From your own question, gain insight into complex future market structures, and construct long-term strategic theory that raises practical challenges into research themes.
— The Dissertation
Through research that raises practical challenges to the academic level, you complete the intellect of a leader who opens the frontier of a professional field. Your own question becomes a study of some 20,000 words. Under the individual guidance of your Supervisor, you research the management challenges of your own company and field with academic rigour, completing the work through the viva voce. The process of this research itself rewrites, from the root, the quality of your management judgement.
The foundation of international trust — grounded in UITM's quality assurance.
The SCX Professional Program is a Professional Program for which UITM provides quality assurance and the curriculum. Shibuya Web3 University Co., Ltd. operates it in Japan.
UITM is a university aligned with the Bologna Process within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Under its quality assurance, the programme is designed at standards equivalent to Level 7 of the EQF (European Qualifications Framework) for the MBA, and Level 8 for the DBA.
To all who complete the full curriculum, an official Executive Award (completion certificate) is conferred under the name of the President of UITM. Its content is recognised as equivalent to a MASTER / DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION — value that carries in the world of business.
Participation asks for resolve — joining a selective community.
